The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.

Applications at the moment are open and will shut on 15 December 2024.

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the following requirements:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home which has a combined gross house earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• People with disabilities qualify if their combined home profits will not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not submit any proof nsfas 2025 of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined more info R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.

NSFAS only funds people who are researching or intend to study at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
